Installing NetMRI VM Image

Prerequisite:

  • The image file for the NetMRI VM should be obtained from Infoblox.

To install a NetMRI image on OpenStack:

  1. Log in to the OpenStack dashboard.

  2. Select the appropriate project.

  3. On the Project tab, click Compute > Instances.

  4. Click Create Image.

  5. Specify the following details:

    • Name: A name for the NetMRI image.

    •  Description: A brief description for the NetMRI image.

    • Image Source: Select Image File.

    • Image File: Select the NetMRI VM image file.

    • Format: QCOW2 s displayed automatically for the image file format. If it is not, specify it manually.

    • Architecture: Specify x86_64.

    • Minimum Disc (GB): Specify 100.

    • Minimum RAM (GB): Specify 16.

    • Public: The necessary access permission for the image.

    • Protected: Select to ensure that only users with permissions can delete the image.

  6. Click Create Image.

The image is queued to be uploaded. It might take some time before the status changes from Queued to Active. Once the image has been created, the NetMRI VM instance can be launched as described in this section.
