1. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of the B1-212 appliance. 

2. Obtain a USB flash drive that supports FAT32 (for Windows) or EXT4 (for Linux) file system. 

3. Add an empty file called “dofactoryreset” to the USB flash drive by doing one of the following:

   1. From the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, download the “the “dofactoryreset” file to the USB by clicking Configure > Administration -> Downloads -> Download Factory Reset.

   2. For Linux, create a file called “dofactoryreset” in the root file system of the USB.

4. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of the B1-212 appliance.
5. The appliance detects the settings on the USB flash drive and begins performing the factory reset operation.
6. During the reset process, the appliance reboots and resets itself to the default configuration.
7. Once the reset process is complete, you can set up and reconfigure the appliance, as described in Deploying the B1-212 Physical Server.

1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.
2. Click Configure - > Servers.
3. On the On-Prem Hosts page, select the onNIOS-prem host X server you want to configure.
4. Click the On-Prem Hosts ... drop-down menu, and then select Local Access to enable local access to the B1-212 appliance.
   

5. In the Enable Local Access dialog, click Enable. Local access to the appliance is granted for two hours.

   Enabling local access to the B1-212 appliance allows you to reset the onNIOS-prem host X server using the Device UI.

   
   

6. Log in to the Device UI. For information about the Device UI, see Troubleshooting HostsServers.
   
7. Click Administration - > Reset Host from the left pane menu.
8. On the Administration page, click Reset for Factory Reset.
9. In the Confirm your action dialog, complete the following:
   • Enter your password: Enter the last seven or eight digits of the serial number mentioned on the Service Tag of B1-212 appliance. 
10. Click Confirm to proceed with the factory reset.
11. Once the reset process is complete, you can set up and reconfigure the appliance, as described in Deploying the B1-212 Physical Server.
