Two NIOS-X Servers can be added to an HA (High Availability) group. In case one NIOS-X Server is down, the second NIOS-X Server can take over DHCP lease management without causing downtime. High Availability can be configured as Active/Active, Active/Passive, Advanced Active/Passive or Anycast. For conceptual information, see High Availability for DHCP.

To view the list of HA groups, complete the following:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Manage > IPAM/DHCP > HA Groups.

  2. The application displays the following information:

  • NAME: Displays the name of the HA group.
  • DESCRIPTION: Displays additional information about the HA group.
  • HA CONFIGURATION: Displays whether the configuration is Active/Active, Active/Passive, Advanced Active/Passive, or Anycast.
  • SERVICE INSTANCE 1: Displays the service instance associated with the HA group.
  • SERVICE INSTANCE 2: Displays the service instance associated with the HA group.
  • HA Status: Displays the following status:
    • Ok
    • failure
    • degraded
    • intermediate
    • unreachable
    • unknown

You can also perform the following in this tab:

  • Click to select and reorder the columns to be displayed on the interface.

  • Click  > Edit next to an HA group, or select the check box for the respective HA group and click Edit to modify an HA group.

  • Click > Delete next to an HA group, or select the respective HA group and click Delete to delete an HA group.

  • Select an HA group to view additional details like Description, HA Configuration, Port, Service Instance 1, Service Instance 2 or Packet Statistics. The State of the service instances is also shown. The State can have the following values: ready, waiting, terminated, syncing, passive-backup, partner-down, load-balancing, backup, hot-standby, down, unreachable or unknown. If you do not want to view the details in the right panel, click .

  • Enter the value that you want to search in the Search text box. The application displays the list of records matching the keyword in the text box.

  • Click to filter the objects by NameDescription, and HA Configuration
