Modifying DNS Config Profiles

When you modify a DNS config profile, you can view the queries, recursion details, DNSSEC details, server details, and EDNS client subnet configuration details that are inherited from Global DNS Properties. You can override these values. For more information, see Global DNS Properties. You can also associate NIOS-X Servers with the DNS Config Profile.

To modify a DNS config profile, complete the following:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Configure > Networking > DNS > DNS Config Profiles.

  2. Click ☰> Edit or select the check box for the respective record and click the Edit button to modify a DNS config profile.

  3. NIOS-X Servers: Click Add to add a NIOS-X Server. Click the NIOS-X Server from the list and click Select.
  4. Modify the details and click Save & Close to save the record or click Cancel to cancel.

Note

You can add an NIOS-X Server only while modifying a DNS Config Profile. When you add a NIOS-X Server, the DNS Config Profile is assigned to it.

When modifying the DNS config profile, you can choose to order the NIOS-X Servers automatically by selecting Order DNS Views Automatically. To order the NIOS-X Servers manually, select Order DNS Views Manually and use the arrow icon to order the NIOS-X Servers as required.Â
