Updating NIOS default views
Complete the following steps to update fields in NIOS default views that are synced to the Infoblox Portal:
Go to Configure > Networking > DNS > Views.
Choose a NIOS default view.
Click Edit.
You can edit the following fields:
Name: Update the name.
Description: Update the description.
Access View: Change the Access View.
Disable DNS Protocol: Enable or disable DNS protocol.
Match Recursive Queries only: Toggle the slider to Override. Enable or disable match recursive queries only.
Recursion: You can modify the following fields:
Max Cache TTL: Toggle the slider to Override and specify custom values.
Max Negative Cache TTL: Toggle the slider to Override and specify custom values.
Forwarders: Toggle the slider to Override. You can either add or remove a forwarder and enable or disable the Forward Only option.
Click Save & Close.
The updated values are reflected on the NIOS Grid.
You cannot update Root Name Servers in a NIOS default DNS view that is synced from NIOS to the Infoblox Portal. You can only update Root Name Servers in non-NIOS default DNS views. For more information, see Updating NIOS non-default DNS Views.
