Creating DTC Policy - Rules
The Rules pane appears only if the Load balancing type is Topology in the General Pane.
Configure the following in the Rules pane:
Click Add rule.
Choose one of the following:
Subnet Rule: Configure the following for the subnet rule:
Rule Name: Specify a name for the rule.
Destination: Choose one of the following options:
Pool: On selecting Pool, a pool selector drop-down appears. Select the name of the pool from the drop-down.
Return NOERROR/NODATA: Select this option to provide a NOERROR/NODATA response for DTC queries. NOERROR/NODATA is returned if the requested domain is present but no resource records are set.
Return NXDOMAIN: Select this option to provide an NXDOMAIN response for DTC queries. NXDOMAIN error is returned when the requested domain does not exist.
Default Rule: Configure the following for the default rule:
Rule Name: The name of the default rule cannot be changed.
Destination: Choose one of the following options:
Pool: On selecting Pool, a pool selector drop-down appears. Select the name of the pool from the drop-down.
Return NOERROR/NODATA: Select this option to provide a NOERROR/NODATA response for DTC queries. NOERROR/NODATA is returned if the requested domain is present but no resource records are set.
Return NXDOMAIN: Select this option to provide an NXDOMAIN response for DTC queries. NXDOMAIN error is returned when the requested domain does not exist.
Click Next. Click Save to save the rule.
Click Add.
Specify a subnet.
Click Next.
Click Save.
Click Next.
