Creating DTC Policy - Pools

In the Pools pane, you can either add an existing pool you created as described in the topic Creating DTC Pools or create a new pool. Click Add Pool and choose the pool from the list. Alternatively, click Create New Pool and configure the following:

• State: Choose whether the policy is Enabled or Disabled. By default, it is Enabled.

• Name: Specify a name for the DTC pool.

• Description: Specify a description for the DTC pool.

• Load balancing type: Choose one of the following:

  • Global Availability: Directs clients to the first available server.

  • Ratio: Requests are distributed to all available pools according to their assigned weightage.

  • Round Robin: Available pools are chosen sequentially in the configured order. Weights are ignored.

  • TTL: The TTL settings are inherited from the parent. To specify different TTL settings, toggle Override and specify the TTL in Days, Hours, Minutes, Second, or Weeks.

Click Next.
