Modifying As-a-Service

Once you create a NIOS-X service and configure all the settings, you can modify the configuration as required. There are multiple ways to edit once the service is deployed. The Exit Edit Mode button appears on the bottom, next to Add Service button, to switch back to Location view mode from Configuration.

Modifying a service configuration in Configuration view

Complete the following steps to modify a service configuration:

1. Go to Configure > Service Deployment > As-A-Service.

2. Expand All > Select the <Service_Name> to modify.

3. At the top of the View pane, choose Configuration.

4. You can modify the following:

   • Service Properties: You can modify the following:

     • Name: Click the Value to modify. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

     • Description: Click the field. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

     • Tags: The Tag field shows the total count of tags added. Click Add.

       • Click on the existing tags to modify Key/Value fields.

       • Click Add to create a new tag.

     • Access Locations: The Access Locations field shows the total count of Locations part of the service. Click Add access to add a new service deployment. Configure the service deployment parameters and click Save.

     • Custom Network Attributes: Click Manage. In the Manage Custom Network Attributes page, you can change the Identity. You can choose KeyID, FQDN, or Email. Click Add.

   • Service Capabilities:

     • DHCP: Click Configuration to choose a different policy. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

     • DNS: Click Configuration to choose a different policy. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

     • Security: Click Configuration to choose a different policy. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

     • Add Capability: Click Add Capability and choose the services to add. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

   • Service Deployments: The number on the Service Deployments card is the count of service deployment(s) present for that service.

     • Click Add to add a new Service Deployment. Refer to point 4 in Creating As-a-Service.

     • To modify an existing Service Deployment click on elipses and click Edit. Modify the field(s) to edit and click Save.

     • To delete an existing Service Deployment click on elipses and click Delete.

Modifying Access Location

1. Go to Configure > Service Deployment > As-A-Service.

2. Expand All > Select and expand the <Service_Name> > <Country> > <Access_Location_name> to modify.

3. You can modify the following:

• Service Properties:

  • Name: Click on the value to modify. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

  • Country: Click on the value to modify. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

  • Post Code: Click on the value to modify. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

  • WAN IP Address(es): Click on the value to modify. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

  • More Properties: To modify the Country, Post Code, WAN IP Address(es) and Contact -Contact Name, Email and Phone information and click Save.

• Service Deployment:

  • Click ⋮ and click Edit to modify the Name, Credentials and Tags fields.

  • To delete an existing Service Deployment click on ⋮ and click Delete.
