Editing Source Based Routing
Use the Source Interface step of the Edit <Service> wizard to modify SBR (Source-Based Routing) to direct service traffic to a specific destination according to the source IP address or a combination of the source and destination IP addresses. Rules that define SBR take precedence over ordinary destination-based routing rules.
To modify source-based routing, update the following field:
SOURCE INTERFACE: This section displays information about the network interface of your NIOS-X servers:
NIOS-X server NAME: Modify the NIOS-X server’s name. The name must not exceed 64 characters. Use numbers, any special characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, and even spaces. Start and end a name with any character other than a space. Leading and trailing spaces will be trimmed off automatically.
NETWORK INTERFACE: Use the drop-down list to modify the interface on which you want to configure the source.
IP ADDRESS: Modify the IP address of the source network interface.
DESTINATION: Click Add to add the destination to which you want to route the source traffic.
CIDR: Enter the CIDR for the destination.
PORT: Enter the port used for the destination.
PROTOCOL: Choose either TCP or UDP to use as the routing protocol.
Ensure that all required information is provided, and click Next to proceed to the next step. If any required information is left empty, an error icon will appear next to the page. To complete missing information, click Back. To exit without saving the configuration, click Cancel. If you have completed all edits and configuration, click Finish.
