Viewing Scheduled Events

On the Upcoming Scheduled Event page, you can view all events you have scheduled along with their details including the scheduled event type and its recurring job status.

Viewing Upcoming Scheduled Events

To view the Upcoming Scheduled Events page, do the following:

  1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.

  2. From the Infoblox Portal, click ConfigureAdministration > Upcoming Scheduled Events.An image of the Upcoming Scheduled Events dashboard.

You can do the following information on the Upcoming Scheduled Events page:

Create a Scheduled Event: Click Create to create a scheduled event. Fill out and submit the form to schedule an event report.

Edit a Scheduled Event: From the list of upcoming scheduled reports, select the box associated with a scheduled report, then click Edit

Delete a Scheduled Event: Click Delete to remove a scheduled event report from the list. The prompt will confirm that you intend on deleting the report.

Background tasks and recent search information can be viewed by doing the following: 

  • Background TasksClick the hourglass icon to open the side panel displaying a list of all running background tasks. 

  • Global Search: Enter the search criteria or value that you want to search for in the Search text box. Recent Searches: Click the search icon to perform a global search. The Infoblox Portal displays the list of records that match the keyword in the text box.  The search panel includes information on recent searches  including tool information, console messages, and information on recent domain searches.

SearchEnter the value that you want to search in the Search text box. The Infoblox Portal displays the list of records that match the keyword in the text box.

Place a check in the box associated with a specific scheduled event record to edit or delete it. To edit an scheduled event, see call-out B. To remove a scheduled event, see call-out  C.

Select All/Unselect All:  Click Select All to select all scheduled event records on the list. Click Unselect All to deselect all currently selected scheduled event records on the list.

Scheduled Events List : The scheduled events list displays all scheduled events previously created with detailed information about the scheduled event. 

The following information is displayed in the scheduled events list:

  • Event Name: The name given to the event at the time of its creation.
  • Event Type: The event type.
  • Date and time: The current date and time the scheduled event record is being viewed.
  • Recurring job information: The event's publishing frequency, the information contained within the event report and the event's publish day and time.

In the opened details pane, you can view the following job details:

  • Event Creation Date: The event's creation date.
  • Created by: The name of the person creating the scheduled event. 
  • Started on: The date the system started recording data for inclusion into the event report.
  • Email to: The email information submitted when the scheduled event was created or edited. Note: Links to the report embedded the email are only valid for 24 hours. After that time, you can download a copy of the report from the Past Scheduled Events page.  
  • Occurs: The frequency of the scheduled event.
  • Ends: The end date provided when the scheduled event was originally created or when it was edited. 
  • Date Range: The periodicity of data being reported in the scheduled event report.

Click  the down-pointing arrow icon to open the details panel where you can inspect all information associated with the selected lookalike domain record. Click the up-pointing arrow icon to close the details panel.

Creating A Scheduled Report

1, Log in to the Infoblox Portal.

2. From the Infoblox Portal, click ConfigureAdministration > Upcoming Scheduled Events.

3. Click Create to display the Create Scheduled Report pop-up.

4. In the Create Scheduled Report pop-up, complete the following. Do note that the pop-up will be prepopulated with the information provided at the time the scheduled report was originally created.  

  • Name: Provide a name for the scheduled report.
  • Description: Provide an optional description for the report to be scheduled.
  • EmailThe email information submitted when the scheduled event was created or edited. This is a required field. Note: Links to the report embedded the email are only valid for 24 hours. After that time, you can download a copy of the report from the Past Scheduled Events page.  
  • Reports: Select the type of report you want to schedule. Options include the executive summary or the comprehensive security report

5. Select the duration for the report. You can choose between 1 hour and 1 month of report data.

6. Occurs: Select the periodicity for the report. You can choose to have the report delivered daily, weekly, or monthly. For weekly delivery, select a date for the report's delivery. Note: For monthly delivery, the 1 month report is always scheduled to run on the first of the following month from the report creation date. When selecting the 1 month report, the Starts On of the Schedule section in the create page will not be displayed and "*Occurs" will be grayed out. Instead, when the 1 month report option is selected, a message will be received informing the user that the monthly report will be delivered on the first of the following month. For example, if you select the 1 month report option on July 8th, the monthly report will include data from July 1st through July 31st and will be delivered on August 1st.

7. Starts OnWhen scheduling a report with a monthly periodicity, select a start time and date from the calendar object for the report. Click Apply to save your selections. Note: When Monthy is selected for the dration of the report, the Starts On menu item is unavailable.

8. Ends: Select an end time and date from the calendar object for the report. You can select from the following:

  • Never: The scheduled report will be published perpetually, with no expiration date to publishing.
  • After – Occurrences: You can specify how may times the scheduled event will be published. After the specified number of occurrences, the report will cease being published. 
  • On: A specific time and date the scheduled event will cease being published. 

When scheduling a report with a monthly periodicity, select an end  time and date from the calendar object for the report. Click Apply to save your selections.

9. Click Save & Close to complete the report scheduling process.

Editing A Scheduled Report

1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.

2. From the Infoblox Portal, click ConfigureAdministration > Upcoming Scheduled Events.

3. Select a scheduled report from the list by selecting the checkbox associated with it. 

4. Click Edit to display the Create Scheduled Report pop-up.

5. In the Edit Scheduled Report pop-up, complete the following. Do note that the pop-up will be prepopulated with the information provided at the time the scheduled report was originally created.  

  • Name: Provide a name for the scheduled report.

Note

When editing a report, you cannot edit the report Schedule (Occurs and Start On) other than to adjust the end type and end date (Never, After "x" Occurences, or On).   

8. Click Save & Close to complete the report scheduling process.
