Configuring NIOS Reporting Server on NIOS
Configuring NIOS Reporting Server on NIOS
After setting up a virtual Data Connector appliance, you must configure it to gather relevant data from the grid members and to send the data to a reporting NIOS server. To configure Data Connector, ensure that you have an RW admin permission, and then do the following:
- Enable DNS service on Grid Master as explained in the Infoblox NIOS Administrator Guide.
- Configure and register Data Connector in NIOS.
- Optionally, configure the grid to capture DNS queries and responses from NIOS.
To populate the user field in Infoblox Threat Defense security reports with Network Users information obtained from NIOS, sync Microsoft users to NIOS. Data Connector pulls the user information via API and pushes it to the Infoblox Portal where it is displayed in the security reports.
Use the following API call to accomplish the task.
https://{{nios_ip}}/wapi/v2.9/networkuser?_return_fields=address,network_view,domainname,first_seen_time,last_seen_time,logout_time,name&_max_results=10000&_paging=1&_return_as_object=1 |
