Defining the Redirect Page

You can configure BloxOne Threat Defense to redirect traffic to the Infoblox server that displays the default or customized redirect page. If you want to redirect traffic to a custom destination, you must first add the redirect IP or domain to the Redirect Page

Note
This feature is not available with the BloxOne Threat Defense Business Cloud subscription.

Info

When using the default redirect, the Infoblox root certificate is mandatory. otherwise you may be presented with a HSTS warning page showing different error variations (depending on the browser used). For information on installing a root SSL certification, see Installing Infoblox Root Certificate for Bypass Code.

Using the Default Redirect Page

To use the default redirect page, complete the following:

  1. From the Cloud Services Portal, click Policies Redirect.
  2. On the Redirect Page, select Default Redirect.
  3. From the options menu, select Use Default Redirect.  This option contains a predefined, default message informing users that they have reached a malicious site or a site that is specifically blocked by the administrator. You can also add a bypass code to the default redirect page. A bypass code allows visitors to access blocked or redirected domains and pages. To add a bypass code to a default redirect page, see Using Bypass Codes
  4. Click Save to save your configuration.

Embedding a Custom Message in a Redirect Page

To embed a custom message in a redirect page, complete the following:

  1. From the Cloud Services Portal, click Policies > Redirect.
  2. On the Redirect Page, select Default Redirect.
  3. From the options menu, select Use Custom Message. Select this option to embed a custom HTML formatted message into the redirect page. Custom messages can be created using the provided HTML editor and previewer. A bypass code allows visitors to access blocked or redirected domains and pages. To add a bypass code to a default redirect page, see Using Bypass Codes.
  4. Click Save to save your configuration and custom redirect page message.

The bypass code text input field will only be displayed when the bypass code proxy is enabled. If the bypass code proxy is disabled, then the redirect page will not display the bypass code text input field and bypass codes will not be allowed. For more information, see Viewing Bypass Codes.
