Creating a DHCP Migration Workload

Complete the following steps to create a Migration Workload for DNS: 

  1. Log on to the Cloud Services Portal. 

  1. Go to Manage > Migrations.  

  1. Click the newly created Workspace.  

  1. Click Create Migration Workload > DHCP

  1. Configure the following in the Create Migration Configuration – DNS screen: 

  • Name: Specify a name for the DHCP Migration Configuration.  

  • Description: Specify a description. 

  • Legacy System: Choose one of the following: 

    • ISC DHCP 

    • Microsoft (XML) 

    • Microsoft (netsh) 

  • Target System: Choose one of the following target systems:  

    • Universal DDI 

    • 8.6.x  

    • 9.0.x  

  • NIOS Network View(s): Specify the NIOS network views separated by commas.  

  • NIOS Grid Member(s): Specify the NIOS Grid members separated by commas. 

  1. Click Save & Close

The DNS Migration Workload is now shown under All Workspace > [Workspace_Name]

During the DHCP range merge, all settings except for the exclusion ranges are taken from the first range.
