Deploying NetMRI Virtual Appliances Using cloud-init on OpenStack

You can automatically deploy NetMRI virtual appliances from a cloud provider such as OpenStack.

To deploy NetMRI virtual appliances:

  1. Prepare a NetMRI VM configuration file or customization script in the OpenStack terminology.
  2. Create a NetMRI image on OpenStack.
  3. Launch a NetMRI instance from that image.

OpenStack uses the cloud-init open-source package to pass the configuration file to the VM. You can also use could-init to deploy remote NetMRI Sandboxes as OpenStack instances.
