set default_route

Use the set default_route command to set the default route to the LAN1 or LAN2 gateway. To set the default route to the LAN2 gateway, ensure that the following are configured correctly on the appliance:

  • The LAN2 port is enabled

  • The HA port is disabled

  • NIC failover is disabled

  • The appliance is not part of a Multi-Grid configuration

If you set the default route to the LAN2 gateway, you cannot have the following configuration on the appliance:

  • LAN2 IPv6 enabled and LAN2 IPv4 disabled

  • LAN1 IPv6 enabled, LAN2 IPv4 enabled, and LAN2 IPv6 disabled


Note

Changing the default route from LAN1 to LAN2 or vice versa will cause the appliance to restart.

Syntax

set default_route [lan1|lan2]

Argument

Description

lan1

Sets the default route to the LAN1 gateway.

lan2

Sets the default route to the LAN2 gateway.

Example

Infoblox > set default_route lan1

Warning: changing this setting will result in a product restart.
