To create a service group, do the following:

  1. In the Cloud Services Portal, click Manage > Service Edge > Objects > Service Groups.
  2. Click Create.
  3. On the Add New Service Group page, do the following:
    1. Name: Enter a name for the service group. Create a name that does not exceed 64 characters in length. Use numbers, any special characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, and even spaces. Start and end a name with any character but not a space. Leading and trailing spaces will be trimmed off automatically.
    2. Click Add and specify the following:
      • Expand the Service Object Groups drop-down section, and do the following: 
        • In AVAILABLE SERVICE OBJECT GROUPS, select the available service object group that you want to add to the service object group, and then use the down arrows to move them to the SELECTED SERVICE OBJECT GROUPS section. To move all service object groups to the selected section, use the double arrows. 
        • To remove a selected service object group, click X next to the service objects in the SELECTED SERVICE OBJECT GROUPS column. To remove all selected service object groups, click the double arrows.
      • Expand the Service Parameters drop-down section, click Add, and specify the following information:
        • PROTOCOL: Select TCPUDPIP, or ICMP from the drop-down list.
        • SOURCE PORT: Enter a number from 1 to 65535, or type ANY.
        • DESTINATION PORT: Enter a number from 1 to 65535, or type ANY.
        • PROTOCOL FLAG: Depending on the chosen protocol, specify the following:
          • TCP FLAG: If you selected TCP from the PROTOCOL drop-down list, you can now select NONEINCOMING, or OUTGOING from the TCP FLAG drop-down list; otherwise, this option is greyed out. 
          • UDP FLAG: If you selected UDP from the PROTOCOL drop-down list, you can now select NONEINCOMING, or OUTGOING from the UDP FLAG drop-down list; otherwise, this option is greyed out.  
          • ICMP FLAG: If you selected ICMP from the PROTOCOL drop-down list, you can now select NONE or an existing ICMP flag; otherwise, this option is greyed out.
        • DSCP: Select a DSCP (Differentiated Services Code Point) value from the drop-down list. DSCP is a way of classifying and managing network traffic and providing QoS (quality of service) for IP networks. DSCP uses the six-bit DS (Differentiated Services) field in the IP header for packet classification.
        • To remove a service parameter from the list, select the group and click Remove.

4. Click Save & Close to save, or click Cancel.
