Configuring Notification Subscriptions

Infoblox Portal allows you to choose the types of personal notifications you would like to receive. 

To set or update your personal notification subscriptions, complete the following:

  1. Log in to Infoblox Portal.

  2. Click the notification icon (next to the search icon) on the top right corner of the Portal.

  3. In the New Notifications panel, click View All Notifications, and then click the Delivery Settings tab.

  4. On the Delivery Settings page, expand the following sections to set the types of personal notifications you would like to receive. Click Expand All to expand all the sections. In each section, you can choose to turn on or off all notifications by clicking Check all or Uncheck all located at the top right corner. The default is Check all, which means you will receive all notifications.

    • Account Alerts: Select which account alerts you want to receive:

      • Config Check Content Filter Use: Include violations related to content filters used in your configuration.

      • Config Check Policy Feed Block: Include violations against thread feed policies put in place.

      • Config Check Policy High Risk Content Block: Include violations against policies for blocking high risk content.

      • Config Check Policy Rules Order: Include notifications related to the order of your policy rules that might have created conflicting security issues.

      • Config Check Virus Total Access: Include notifications related to virus accessing your system.

      • Policy rules check warning: Include notifications related to policy rules you have configured.

      • Service API Key Expiry: Include notifications related to service API keys that are expired or will be expiring within the next 14 days.

      • User Created: Include notifications related to account creation.

      • User Deleted: Include notifications related to account deletion.

    • DDI Metrics: Select which DDI metric notifications you want to receive:

      • Copy Failed: Include notifications when the copy operation failed.

      • Copy Succeeded: Include notifications when the copy operation succeeded.

      • DNS Cache Flush Failed: Include notifications when DNS cache flush failed.

      • DNS Cache Flush Succeeded: Include notifications when DNS cache flush succeeded.

      • High DHCP Utilization: Include notifications when the DHCP utilization exceeds a high threshold.

      • Low DHCP Utilization: Include notifications when the DHCP utilization reaches a low threshold.

      • SOA MName truncated: Include notifications related to the truncation of the name of the primary server in the SOA record.

    • Host Notifications: Select which host notifications you want to receive:

      • Host CPU Usage: Include notifications of hosts whose CPU usage has exceeded the default threshold is over 90%.

      • Host Disk Usage:  Include notifications when the host's total disk usage for the root file system exceeds 90%.

      • Host Inode Usage: Include notifications when the total inode usage of files and folders on your account exceeds 90%.

      • Host Memory Usage:  Include notifications of hosts whose host memory usage has exceeded 90%.

      • Host State: Include notifications of hosts that are in the Review Details state for more than 300 seconds.

      • Host Status Infra: Include notifications related to the change of host status.

    • New Release Notifications: Select New Releases to get notifications for new Infoblox Platform release information on new features and enhancements, based on your Infoblox Platform subscriptions.

    • Service Notifications: Select which service notifications you want to receive:

      • Access Authentication Service Status: Include notifications related to any changes in the service status.

      • Access Authentication Service Status Degraded: Include notifications related to a degraded service.

      • Access Authentication Service Status Error: Include notifications related to errors that had occurred to the service.

      • Anycast Service Status: Include notifications related to any changes in the service status. 

      • Anycast Service Status Degraded: Include notifications related to a degraded service.

      • Anycast Service Status Error: Include notifications related to errors that had occurred to the service.

      • Data Connector Service Status: Include notifications related to any changes in the service status.

      • Data Connector Service Status Degraded: Include notifications related to a degraded service.

      • Data Connector Service Status Error: Include notifications related to errors that had occurred to the service.

      • DHCP Service Status: Include notifications related to any changes in the service status.

      • DHCP Service Status Degraded: Include notifications related to a degraded service.

      • DHCP Service Status Error: Include notifications related to errors that had occurred to the service.

      • DNS Service Status: Include notifications related to any changes in the service status.

      • DNS Service Status Degraded: Include notifications related to a degraded service.

      • DNS Service Status Error: Include notifications related to errors that had occurred to the service.

      • Last Host Activity: Include notifications on the last activity happened on a host.

      • NTP Service Status: Include notifications related to any changes in the service status.

      • NTP Service Status Degraded: Include notifications related to a degraded service.

      • NTP Service Status Error: Include notifications related to errors that had occurred to the service.

  5. Click Save (at the top right corner) to save the configuration.
