Managing Infoblox Accounts

The Infoblox platform offers several options for administrators who oversee multiple organizations or sandboxes to access and manage subsidiary organizational accounts. You have the ability to view and select an account through the account selection menu, as well as filter and search for specific accounts by entering keywords.

Accessing Infoblox Accounts

To access an Infoblox account, do the following:

  1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.

  2. On the top of the page, click the name of the default account that you are currently managing. The system designates the initial login account as the default account. If you wish to change the default, refer to the subsequent section.

  3. From the drop-down menu, choose the account you want to access from the Favorite or Other section. You can also click the gear icon to open the Manage Accounts dialog if you are assigned to more than one account. If you cannot locate the account promptly, use the Find Account field to search for a specific account by entering a keyword.

  4. In the Manage Accounts dialog, choose the account you want to assign to the Favorite or Other section by selecting the respective checkboxes.

To manage your Infoblox accounts, click the gear icon in the Manage Accounts dialog. You can set a different default account or designate your favorite accounts for easy access in the future. For more information, see the following topics.

Setting the Default Infoblox Account

You can set up the default Infoblox account at any time after your initial login. By changing the default account, the Infoblox Portal will automatically connect to this account every time you log in thereafter.

To set a default account, do the following:

  1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.

  2. On the top of the page, click the name of the default account that you are currently managing, and then click the gear icon.

  3. In the Manage Accounts dialog, choose the account you want to configure as the default account and click the Default radio button next to the account. Note that you can configure only one account as default.

  4. Click Save & Close. The Infoblox Portal automatically connects to this account (as the default account) every time you log in thereafter. The selected account name is displayed in the drop-down menu at the top of the page under the name of your default account.

Specifying Favorite Infoblox Accounts

You have the flexibility to designate specific accounts as favorites, making it easier to locate them in the future. Once designated as favorites, these accounts are displayed at the top of the account selection menu within the Favorite section, ensuring quick and easy access. All remaining accounts are grouped under the Other section. Note that section titles and accounts within each section are sorted alphabetically.

To specify favorite accounts, do the following:

  1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.

  2. On the top of the page, click the name of the default account that you are currently managing, and then click the gear icon.

  3. In the Manage Accounts dialog, the list of available accounts appear in alphabetical order.

  4. Click the Favorite check box next to the accounts you want to set as favorite. Note that you can designate more than one favorite account.

  5. Click Save & Close. The selected accounts will be alphabetically listed under the Favorite section.
