Viewing Mobile Endpoint Devices

On the Mobile Endpoints page, the Infoblox Portal displays the list of mobile devices, including devices on which Infoblox Mobile Endpoint has been installed. You can view detailed information about these devices and their current status. By default, this list includes all devices that are active, inactive, or disabled. By default, the Infoblox Portal displays the first page of endpoint devices.

To view information about mobile devices, complete the following:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Configure > Security > Endpoints
  2. On the Mobile Endpoints page, the Infoblox Portal displays the following information for each device on which Endpoint is installed:
    • DEVICE NAME: The name of the device.
    • USER NAME: The user name that is used to log in to this device.
    • ENDPOINT GROUP: The Infoblox Group to which the device belongs.
    • MAC ADDRESS: The MAC address for the device.
    • ENDPOINT VERSION: The Infoblox Endpoint version that is installed on the device.
    • OS VERSION: The OS version that is currently running on the device.
    • POLICY: The policy applied to the device. 
    • LAST SEEN: The timestamp when the device was last seen on the network.
    • LAST IP ADDRESS: The list of IP addresses that have been associated with this device.
    • COUNTRY: The country where an endpoint is located. 
    • CITY: The city where an endpoint is located. 
    • POP REGION:  The region within a country or geographic area where the response originated based on information acquired from the public IP address of Infoblox Endpoint.
    • DEVICE REGIONThe region within a country or geographic area where a device is located. 
    • SERIAL NUMBER: The serial or identification number associated with a device. 
    • STATUS: The current status of the device.
      • Active: The device is currently online and active.
      • Inactive: The device is currently offline and inactive.
      • Disabled: The device has been disabled.
    • TAG: Displays any tags assigned to the mobile endpoint device. 
    • KEYDisplays any keys assigned to the device.
    • LOCATION: The location of a device based on the geo-location of its public IP address. 
    • LOOKALIKE: Indicates a reported lookalike. 
    • THREATS: Threats associated with an endpoint device. 

On the Mobile Endpoints page, you can select a mobile device and click the Endpoint Status tab to enable or disable the mobile device. 

To enable or disable a mobile device, select the mobile device and click the expandable menu icon > to enable or disable it. To remove a mobile device, select the mobile device. Note that the selected mobile device must be disabled prior to its removal.  Click expandable menu icon  > Remove to delete a disabled mobile device. You can also select the respective mobile device and click the Remove button to delete it.

You can also perform the following on the Mobile Endpoints page:

  • Click on a device name to view its details. On the details page, you can view the device's general information and endpoint details. You can enable or disable a device by toggling the switch to the Enable or Disable position.   
    • In the General Information section, you can do the following:
      • Assign a log level (DEBUG or INFO).
      • Click on an endpoint group to move it to a different endpoint group.
      • Share the unique page URL associated with the endpoint device. 
    • In the Endpoint Activities section, you can do the following:
      • Add or remove a tag to the endpoint. For information on applying tags to an endpoint, see Applying Tags.
    • Click Refresh to refresh the information posted on the page.
    • Click Save to save the updated settings.

  • Select a mobile endpoint device and click Move to move it to a different endpoint group. On the Move Endpoints panel, select an endpoint group, then click Move.  
  • Select a mobile endpoint from the list, and click > Download Logs to download system-level support logs. For information on Infoblox Mobile Endpoint system logging, see Endpoint System Logging.
  • Click Export to CSV to download a list of Infoblox Mobile Endpoints. 
  • Click the Refresh button to update data on this page. Active filters will be preserved when refreshing the records. 
  • Click expandable menu icon to select the columns you want to display or use the arrow keys to reorder the columns.
  • Select an endpoint to view additional details in the right panel. You can collapse the right panel by clicking the informatio icon.
  • Enter the value that you want to search in the Search text box. The Infoblox Portal displays the list of records that match the keyword in the text box.
  • Click the filter iconand then the add icon to filter data by the available values. Supported values include the following: 
    • Status
    • Device Name
    • User Name
    • Endpoint Group
    • Mac Address
    • Endpoint Version
    • OS Version
    • Last IP Address
    • Serial Number
  • Details Panel: Click the information iconto open and close the details panel. The panel shows the current configuration of the selected mobile endpoint. In the panel you can view the total number of endpoints along with information associated with the endpoint, including User Name, MAC Address, Endpoint Version, OS Version, Status Last Seen date, Endpoint Group, Device Location, and Last IP Address information. Deleted endpoints are not tallied in the status count nor are they displayed in the details pane.  
  • Column Sorting: All columns on the page can be sorted by clicking the label in the column header. When the sorting order is changed, the page view will default back to the first page of records.
  • Page Size Control: Select the number of records to view per page by clicking the view option (25, 50, 100) on the bottom-left of the screen.
  • Page View: Select what page of records to view by clicking the page option (Page 1, 2, . . .) located on the bottom-right of the screen.

You can view the DNS Hits section of the DNS Activity Report to see Infoblox Mobile Endpoint activity. To view the DNS Hits section of the DNS Activity Report, navigate to the Reports section in the Infoblox Portal (MonitorReports > DNS Activity > DNS)
