Endpoint Protection Using a VPN Connection

Infoblox Endpoint protection depends on the type of VPN tunnel being used. When using a VPN, Endpoint protection is supported using split tunnel mode.

Split Tunnel Mode

  • Protection is provided for Infoblox Endpoint when using split tunnel mode. In split tunnel mode, Infoblox Endpoint resolves DNS queries not sent over a VPN through Infoblox Threat Defense, while DNS queries sent over the VPN are not resolved via Infoblox Threat Defense.

Warning

Protection is not provided for Infoblox Endpoint in cases where all traffic is forwarded over the VPN.
