Viewing Mobile Endpoint Devices

The Mobile Endpoints page in the Infoblox Portal displays a list of mobile devices, including devices with Infoblox Mobile Endpoint installed. This page allows users to:

  • View detailed information about each device.

  • Monitor the current status of devices (Active, Inactive, or Disabled).

  • Manage devices, including enabling, disabling, and removing devices.

  • Perform additional actions, such as applying tags, exporting data, and downloading logs.

Viewing Mobile Devices

To view information about mobile devices, follow these steps:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Configure > Security > Endpoints.

  2. On the Mobile Endpoints page, the Infoblox Portal displays the following information for each device:

DEVICE NAME

Name of the device.

USER NAME

User name used to log in to the device.

ENDPOINT GROUP

Infoblox Group to which the device belongs.

MAC ADDRESS

MAC address of the device.

ENDPOINT VERSION

Installed version of Infoblox Endpoint.

OS VERSION

Current OS version running on the device.

POLICY

Policy applied to the device.

LAST SEEN

Timestamp of the device’s last activity on the network.

LAST IP ADDRESS

List of IP addresses associated with the device.

COUNTRY

Country where the endpoint is located.

CITY

City where the endpoint is located.

POP REGION

Region within the country where the response originated (based on the device’s public IP address).

DEVICE REGION

Region within the country where the device is physically located.

SERIAL NUMBER

Serial or identification number associated with the device.

STATUS

Current status of the device:

  • Active: Online and active

  • Inactive: Offline and inactive

  • Disabled: Device disabled

TAG

Tags assigned to the device.

KEY

Keys assigned to the device.

LOCATION

Location of the device based on its geo-located public IP address.

LOOKALIKE

Indicates if a lookalike has been reported.

THREATS

Threats associated with the device.

Managing Mobile Devices

On the Mobile Endpoints page, you can select a mobile device and click the Endpoint Status tab to enable or disable the mobile device. To enable, disable, or remove a mobile device, follow these steps:

  1. Select the device from the list.

  2. Click the expandable menu icon ( > ) and choose one of the following options:

    • Enable: Enable the selected device.

    • Disable: Disable the selected device.

    • Remove: Remove the device (only available if the device is disabled).

Shortcut: You can also select the device and click the Remove button to delete it.

Viewing Device Details

To view detailed information for a device:

  1. Click the device name in the list.

  2. On the Details panel, view the following sections:

General Information

  • Assign Log Level: Select DEBUG or INFO.

  • Move to Endpoint Group: Click an endpoint group to move the device to a different group.

  • Share Unique URL: Copy and share the unique page URL for the device.

Endpoint Activities

  • Add or Remove Tag: Apply or remove tags (for details, see Applying Tags).

  • Refresh: Click Refresh to update the displayed information.

  • Save: Click Save to save any changes made to the settings.

Additional Actions

The following actions can be performed from the Mobile Endpoints page:

  • Move Device:

    1. Select the device from the list.

    2. Click Move.

    3. In the Move Endpoints panel, select an endpoint group and click Move.

  • Download Logs:

    1. Select the device from the list.

    2. Click on the three horizontal bars icon followed by clicking Download Logs to download system-level support logs (see Endpoint System Logging for more information).

  • Export to CSV:

    • Click Export to CSV to download a list of Infoblox Mobile Endpoints.

  • Refresh Page:

    • Click Refresh to update the displayed data.

    • Active filters will be preserved when refreshing the page.

  • Customize Columns:

    • Click the expandable menu icon to select the right column to display.

    • Select an endpoint to view additional details in the right panel. You can collapse the right panel by clicking the information icon.

    • Use the arrow keys to reorder the columns.

  • Search for Devices:

    1. Enter a value in the Search text box.

    2. The Infoblox Portal displays records matching the search value.

  • Filter Data:

    1. Click the Filter icon.

    2. Click the Add icon to filter data by the following values:

      • Status

      • Device Name

      • User Name

      • Endpoint Group

      • MAC Address

      • Endpoint Version

      • OS Version

      • Last IP Address

      • Serial Number

Viewing Endpoint Details Panel

  • To view additional details, click the Information icon.

  • The Details Panel displays the following information:

    • User Name

    • MAC Address

    • Endpoint Version

    • OS Version

    • Status

    • Last Seen Date

    • Endpoint Group

    • Device Location

    • Last IP Address

Deleted endpoints are not included in the status count or displayed in the Details Panel.

Customizing the Page View

  • Column Sorting:

    • Click the column header label to sort the data in ascending or descending order.

    • When sorting, the page view will return to the first page of records.

  • Page Size Control:

    • Select the number of records per page using the options at the bottom-left of the page:

      • 25

      • 50

      • 100

  • Page Navigation:

    • Select the page number to view by clicking the options at the bottom-right of the page:

      • Page 1, 2, 3, ...

Viewing DNS Hits

To view DNS activity for mobile devices:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Monitor > Reports > DNS Activity > DNS.

  2. View the DNS Hits section of the DNS Activity Report.
