Configuring DHCP for Remote Access VPN

Configuring DHCP for Remote Access VPN

You must configure the DHCP subnet such that all clients can connect to IP addresses from that subnet. To configure the DHCP subnet, in the Cloud Services Portal, click Manage > IPAM/DHCP and select Global DHCP Configuration. For details, see Configuring DHCP Options.

To configure DHCP options for remote access VPN, do the following:

  1. On the Global DHCP Configuration page, enter the same IP address in the Address field as the IP address you entered in the DHCP Relay IP field on the  Add RA VPN Policy page.

The remote access VPN server is assigned IP addresses that are within the DHCP pool specified in the DHCP Relay IP field. When a client logs in to the remote access VPN server, the client is allotted an IP address within the subnet, and this enables the client to access information within the Service Edge system. For information about the Add RA VPN Policy page, see Configuring Remote Access VPN Policies

2. In the On-Prem Host field, select the on-prem host for which you have enabled the DHCP service.

3. Ensure that the DHCP server is on the same host as the host for the remote access VPN server.
