Configuring HA Policies

An HA policy consists of multiple HA rules that you have configured. When you group a set of HA rules into an HA policy, you create a portfolio of rules that you use to protect your networks in a specific manner. HA policies allow you to assign a group of HA rules to edge profiles. For more information, see BloxOne Service Edge.

An HA rule is a collection of health probe rules along with the protocol and metric that you select. HA rules that you select form the nucleus of the Service Edge’s HA configuration. An HA rule also serves as a binding layer between the health probe rule and the routing protocol rule.

On the HA Policies page, the Cloud Services Portal displays the following information for each policy:

  • NAME: The name of the policy.
  • RULES: The number of rules associated with the policy.

You can do the following on the HA Policies page:

  • View the Rules and other details of a policy: Select the policy and view its details in the panel on the right or by clicking .
  • Modify a policy: Click  > Edit, or select the checkbox for the policy and click the Edit button.
  • Remove a policy: Select the policy and click  > Remove or click the Remove button.
  • Search for policies by keyword: In the Search text box, enter the keyword that you want to search on. The application displays the policies that match the keyword.
