Disconnecting Servers

The Infoblox Platform offers a security enhancement that allows you to disconnect any affected servers due to misconfiguration or theft in the case of a physical server. You can disconnect the affected server from the Infoblox Platform, which will stop all the services on the server. When you disconnect the server, it is no longer accessible from the cloud and is disconnected at the first reconnection to the internet. The server will be in the pending state if it is connected to the cloud and requires approval in order to rejoin the Infoblox Portal.

To disconnect a server, complete the following:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Configure > Servers.
  2. Select the server you want to disconnect from the Infoblox Portal.
  3. Click ... next to the server > Disconnect.
  4. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Confirm to disconnect the server, or click Cancel to cancel the operation.

Note

When you disconnect a server, the server will be in the Pending state and need to be rejoined to Infoblox Platform, if you so desire. Note that it might take up to 15 minutes for the server to get back online after your approval.
